Vilas County Beaches

Vilas County is home to glacial lakes which are known for their crystal clear waters.   These lakes are beautiful and perfect for a rejuvenating swim on a hot summer’s day.    You’ll find plenty of swimming options from wading to frolicking in the lake all day long. In a lot of cases the lakes are calm and have a gradual shallow entry which makes them perfect place for the kids to play and float.

While you watch the kids play in the water, sit back and enjoy the Wisconsin summer sun on the soft sand that Vilas County beaches offer.  If you venture out early, you’ll likely be able to catch plenty of wildlife enjoying the lake as well.   The saying “Life’s a Beach” is never more true than on a summer day lake side in Vilas county.
